Outcross Cattery List

On this site, we have provided a listing of catteries that are working with cats that are less commonly related to most Maine Coon lines in the world. For example, cats that have lower than average amounts of the top five cats at the foundation level, or fewer of the most common ancestors (the clones) in later generations, as a tool for breeders looking for outcross. Please see our Past, Prestent, Future article for more detail.

Under "criteria" you will find information on how we decide to add catteries to this listing.

We have also added a list of Maine Coon Foundation Cats. This is in no way an all-inclusive list of all outcross catteries and cats, merely a few examples. To the best of our knowledge these catteries are currently producing outcross kittens.
